” The screening is called Living side by side, and it’s about coexistence with other humans, species and the planet. The artists are from Finland, Sweden, Ireland and Argentina. Coexistence simultaneously contains the idea of harmony and friction. Our life together is a constant process of balancing, drawing boundaries and negotiating with other individuals, species, society and the universe. Living side by side often appears as frictional and awkward – and at the same time as a magical and beautiful coexistence with different forms of life; both living and dead, real and imaginary. “

Les Instants Vidéo and LTK4 have invited video artists to propose a mute video that will be sonorized during Festival Les Instants Video, and the 2nd live at LTK4 in Cologne. During this performance, artists from the Avatar Curators collective will respond to video artworks by Jochen Schemm, Saman Haghighivand, Anna-Lea Weiand and Paul Menezes.
