Opening Saturday 24 October at 6pm

(Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 7pm)
There is no such thing as an innocent image.
Every image is a framing, and every framing is a political decision. To show is to include. To cut is to exclude. To archive is to establish a hierarchy. To circulate is to grant the right to exist.
The works gathered here open up a space for poetry and critical reflection. They invite us to recognise, behind every image, a human, political, irreducible presence. They seek to reveal what official narratives leave outside the frame.
In the face of the Newspeak of images, the artists question the conditions of their production, disrupt their circulation, reactivate silenced archives, restage erased scenes, and restore substance to names that have been effaced.
Here, naming, renaming, storytelling, parodying, and reenactment are all acts of active mutiny. They keep alive the stories that others would rather see disappear.
What we see also looks back at us.
