For the Association Initiatives Citoyennes (AIC – Bawsala), hosting this video art programme as part of the Les Instants Vidéo Festival represents a wonderful opportunity to foster critical thinking among young people. Since 2014, our work has focused on promoting human rights, equality and civic empowerment through culture and media education.Through works that explore freedom, feminism and the passing on of knowledge and ideas, this initiative offers our pupils and students a space for debate and for challenging and deconstructing stereotypes. Bringing contemporary artistic creation into dialogue with the aspirations of a generation in transition allows us to reaffirm art as a powerful force for engagement and for opening up new perspectives on the world.
