Ahmed El Shaer est un artiste contemporain né au Caire, en Égypte, en 1981 qui vit et travaille actuellement en Écosse, au Royaume-Uni. El Shaer est un artiste multidisciplinaire dont la pratique couvre les médiums de l’installation, de la photographie, du son et des images en mouvement, avec un intérêt particulier pour les nouvelles technologies. détient un B.F.A. de la Faculté d’art et d’éducation et est actuellement doctorant dans le département de jeux et d’art de l’Université Abertay, Écosse, Royaume-Uni. Il a exposé dans divers lieux d’art internationaux, dont la 56e Biennale de Venise, Venise, Italie (2015). Biennale de Bamako et Bamako-Mali (2011); Cairotronica New Media Festival, Le Caire, Égypte; Sanctioned Array, White Box, New York, USA (2010); spectacle solo au Museum of the Moving Image, New York, États-Unis (2019); Rencontres Internationales Festival Paris/Berlin: Représenter l’Égypte à la 59e Biennale de Venise 2022.

Ahmed El Shaer is a contemporary artist born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1981 who currently lives and works in Scotland, UK. El Shaer is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans the mediums of installation, photography, sound, and moving images, with a particular interest in new technologies. holds a B.F.A. from the Faculty of Art and Education and is currently a Ph.D. student in the games and art department at Abertay University, Scotland, UK. He exhibited in various international art venues, including the 56th Venice Biennal, Venice, Italy (2015). Bamako Biennale and Bamako-Mali (2011); Cairotronica New Media Festival, Cairo, Egypt; Sanctioned Array, White Box, New York, USA (2010); Solo show at the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, USA (2019); Rencontres Internationales Festival Paris/Berlin: Represent Egypt at the 59th Venice Biennale 2022.
