Unbinding Attachments
Our days are woven with attachments. Obligations, concerns, and stresses cling to us: about ourselves, about the wars that fracture our present, about the climate unraveling our future. These attachments hold us in a state of vigilance, sometimes of paralysis, binding our eyes to screens and our thoughts to fear.
Art, and particularly video, can unbind these knots. It opens spaces where images, bodies, and words circulate freely, territories where we can breathe, dream, and resist. More than representation, it is a gesture of detachment, a way of reclaiming vision and inventing possibilities.
To detach is not to withdraw. It is to move toward joy, the joy that endures, that no power can master, that carries us where sadness never could.
