For 10 years (2010), in order to take video art works out of their dedicated spaces, we open ephemeral spaces during the festival, in social organisations. For their official opening is organized a “vernissage” like in any other gallery, and if possible an encounter with the artist.
Popular ephemeral galleries offer a societal vision because they allow :

  • to fight against the specialisation of spaces, people and activities
  • to develop opportunities for encounters, which allows us to question our prejudices about the social status we are assigned (artist, social worker, user…)
  • to fight against discrimination (unequal access to culture, prejudices based on an imposed status)
  • to create common ground and prove that there are bridges between art and everyday life
