10h Symposium “The Mediterranean and climate shocks: insecurity, conflict and adaptation”

IReMMO- Suds (Institut de Recherche et d’Etudes Méditerranée Moyen Orient) is organising an event on climate change in the Mediterranean, a highly topical issue that will be addressed from a geopolitical and strategic perspective. This climate meeting will involve the countries of the Maghreb and the Middle East. The approach will be interdisciplinary, scientific, economic, demographic and social, and will include issues such as biodiversity, pandemics, energy and water resources, and population displacement within and outside the Region.

Since art allows new forms of encounters between people (whatever their social conditions or cultural origins), we propose to explore the shifts from art to life and vice versa by showing 4 art works that will allow us to resist the flow and listen to this world that surrounds us and never stops.

Each round table will feature the screening of one or more video on the themes addressed.
