Diego Maclean est né en Argentine et, à l’âge de 11 ans, il s’est installé au Brésil où il a étudié l’art et le cinéma. En 2004, il s’est installé à Vancouver, au Canada, pour suivre le programme d’animation de l’Université Emily Carr. Son film de fin d’études, The Art of Drowning, a été projeté dans de nombreux festivals, dont Sundance, Annecy, le Festival international d’animation d’Ottawa, le Festival international du film d’Édimbourg et le Festival des films du monde de Montréal. Père de deux merveilleux garçons, il travaille chez Giant Ant, un studio d’animation de Vancouver.

Diego Maclean was born in Argentina and at the age of 11 he moved to Brazil, where he studied art and film. In 2004 he moved to Vancouver, Canada to attend the animation program at the Emily Carr University. His graduation film The Art of Drowning screened in many festivals including Sundance, Annecy, Ottawa Intl. Animation Festival, Edinburgh Intl. Film Festival and Montreal World Film Festival. He is the father of two wonderful boys and works at Giant Ant, an animation studio in Vancouver.
