Des images incertaines, contenant à la fois le sublime et la perte, sont animées dans la vibrance étrange d’une expérience contemplative avec la volonté d’atteindre les battements du monde. Manipulées par glitch, altérations, pertes et transformations, les photographies d’icebergs deviennent un questionnement sur la fragilité de la photographie en tant qu’archive et sur la pérennité de notre mémoire numérique. Le décalage entre la majesté des géants de glace et la conscience de leur fragilité fait écho à la distance entre notre perception d’une nature intacte fantasmée et les actions concrètes menées pour la préserver. Écologiques ou numériques, les perceptions déformées ont les mêmes conséquences : le point de non-retour et l’amnésie. Le scintillement des cathédrales, pris dans un entrelacs de résonances, devient un paysage tangible de la mémoire. Comme une métaphore d’un monde en sursis.

Manipulated by glitch, alterations, losses and transformations, the icebergs photographs become a questioning of the fragility of photography as an archive and of the perenniality of our digital memory. The discrepancy between the majesty of the ice giants and the awareness of their fragility echoes the distance between our perception of a fantasized intact nature and the concrete actions taken to preserve it. Ecological or digital, distorted perceptions have the same consequences: the point of no return and amnesia. The flickering of the cathedrals, caught in an interlacing of resonances, becomes a tangible landscape of memory. As a metaphor of a world on borrowed time.
