David Curtis est un cinéaste/directeur de la photographie, artiste, pêcheur commercial et menuisier vivant dans les territoires traditionnels Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in à l’extérieur de Dawson City, au Yukon, au Canada. Réalisateur du documentaire « The Ballad of Caveman Bill » (2023), de « Sovereign Soil » (2019) pour l’ONF et Jack Leg Films. Projet en cours : film d’art et d’installation multimédia « Search Though We Might We Can Never See Beyond the Horizons of Our Imagination » (2019 – Présent), qui a été installé dans des galeries et des lieux spécifiques au site, ainsi que des films individuels de la série exposés dans des festivals de cinéma. Dans tous les aspects de sa vie, David entretient une relation étroite avec la nature, le kairos, la poésie et le rire.

David Curtis is an off grid dwelling filmmaker/ cinematographer, artist, commercial fisher and carpenter living within the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territories outside of Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. Director of the documentary « The Ballad of Caveman Bill » (2023), of « Sovereign Soil » (2019) for the NFB and Jack Leg Films. Ongoing : art film and multimedia installation project « Search Though We Might We Can Never See Beyond the Horizons of Our Imagination » (2019 – Present), which has been installed within both gallery and site specific venues, along with individual films from the series being exhibited at film festivals. In all aspects of his life David nurtures a close relationship to nature, kairos, poetry and laughter.
