Le film répond au « Mythe de Sisyphe » d’Albert Camus, en généralisant le mythe à travers les vies quotidiennes sans lien de trois personnes finalement connectées dans leur cycle paisible, sans début ni fin, sans joie ni tristesse. Ils partagent le même souvenir d’un décompte répété et commencent un karma par le passage d’un rocher.
The film responds to Albert Camus’ “The Myth of Sisyphus,” generalizing the myth across the unrelated daily lives of three people eventually connected in their peaceful cycle, without beginning or ending, joy or sorrow. They share the same memory of counting down numbers repeatedly and begin a karma through the passing of a boulder.
Wu Chia Yun (née en 1988 à Taïwan) est titulaire d’une maîtrise en communication visuelle du Royal College of Art (Londres) et d’une maîtrise en cinéma de l’Université nationale des arts de Taiwan (Taipei). Elle est une artiste et cinéaste actuellement basée à New York. Ces dernières années, Wu a été sélectionné au niveau international au PROYECTOR Festival de Videoarte (Espagne, 2019), au European Media Art Festival (Allemagne, 2020), aux Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin (France, 2021), au London Short Film Festival (Royaume-Uni, 2022). ) et a reçu la qualification des British Academy of Film Awards ; projeté à l’Institut des Arts Contemporains, à l’Auditorium du Louvre et à la Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
