L’histoire commence il y a bien longtemps, sur une autre île, alors que la fille n’était pas encore née et que le secret était caché sur la plage ronde. Un jour, la mère écrit, la fille lit et tout change, sauf la lune. Le reste n’est qu’un baume ou un geste d’amour de la part d’une fille qui aime chanter avec sa mère.

The story begins a long time ago, on another island, when the daughter had not yet been born and the secret was hidden on the round beach. One day the mother writes, the daughter reads and everything changes, except the moon. The rest is balm or a gesture of love from a daughter who likes to sing with her mother.

Catarina Alexandra Canha Fernandes est née à São Miguel et a 36 ans. Artiste transdisciplinaire, diplômée en Beaux-Arts et en Éducation Sociale, elle découvre les arts du spectacle en 2008, puis le chant et la composition en 2011. Elle émigre en France en 2012. En 2017, elle utilise la projection vidéo pour la première fois, mais c’est en 2022 qu’elle se passionne pour le tournage, la réalisation et le montage. Catarina Alexandra Canha Fernandes was born in São Miguel and is 36 years old. She is a transdisciplinary artist with a degree in Fine Arts and Social Education. She stumbled into the performing arts in 2008, and in 2011 into singing and composition. In 2012 she emigrated to France. In 2017 she used video projection for the first time, but it was in 2022 that she fell in love with filming, directing and editing. She explores the permeability of different artistic expressions and sees intimacy and intuition as sources of inspiration. The feminist premise “the personal is political” is her guide.
