Therefore it is imperative at the outset to compile such an inventory<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0Antonio Gramsci. It is about questioning the diverse evolutions of video art, from its birth up to nowadays, taking into account the technological, aesthetic, cultural and political contexts. This very strong relation work of art &#8211; context is underlined in the title given to the event: Video art has been invented by the children of the 2nd World War and it is a contemporary art&#8230; of arabic revolutions and the Greek tragedy. If tributes will be returned to certain pioneers (Paik, Vostell, Averty, Godard, Forest, Sambin, Cahen, their works will be broadcast with those of less visible artists on the international scene of the contemporary art. To explore vid\u00e9ographies less known,others propositions will be developed in time and space which are entitled \u00a0\u00bb Terrhistoires of the video arts \u00ab\u00a0: Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, Iceland, Japan, Switzerland(Swiss), Quebec \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activist event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Instants Video are not intended to be exhaustive showcase of the video art history . Each of the events that we produce are so many composed acts.. The festival is designed as a laboratory of experimentation of scenery, stories, works and words &#8230; The way we look at the past of the video art is also oriented towards our present and future. This is from a territory (Marseille and the Mediterranean) and time (ours, the Arab revolutions and the current Greek tragedy) that we question an artistic practice. . That is why for the occasion, we asked the multimedia video artist<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dominik Barbier<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>to create a work entitled : \u00a0\u00bb Moon is the first tv \u00ab\u00a0, in reference to a statement of Nam June Paik. Tragic and joyful work in which \u00ab\u00a0selected pieces\u00a0\u00bb of video will have survived from war and economic disaster but also from the generalised amnesia.
