The international Encounters take place in Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseilles, October 19 to 22. And before after these dates, we act in concert with partners to organise the festival stopovers in other spaces in Marseille, the area\u2026and abroad. Please contact us if you wish to prepare your visit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 32px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Content warnings<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 2023, the team will be working on the issue of content warnings, indicating the presence of certain situations (rape, murder, genocide, torture, domestic violence, parental abuse, sexism, harassment, homophobia, transphobia, racism, validism&#8230;):<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>because we want to take care of our visitors<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>because we consider it is our responsibility as a cultural organisation to take note of the struggles to make colonial, patriarchal and capitalist oppressions and systemic violence visible and recognised\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>because we are aware that trauma and hyper-sensitivity cannot be controlled, and can affect anyone at any time in their lives<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>because we know how important it is to allow each and every one of us to make an informed choice about whether or not to see (a film, an installation, etc.), based on our own sensitivity and state of mind at the time<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>because we don&rsquo;t want to remain ignorant of the reality of violence in the daily lives or personal histories of many of us, and what people suffering from this kind of disorder may experience.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&rsquo;re aware that such signage isn&rsquo;t a 100% reliable solution, but it&rsquo;s a beneficial step that we&rsquo;ve decided to take. We look forward to continuing the discussion with you.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 32px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conversation tour<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">t<em>From October 26, 2023 to January 12, 2024<\/em>,\u00a0we offer to welcome groups and individuals for a\u00a0<em>conversation-tour\u00a0<\/em>of our exhibition. It is an invitation to discover la Friche and to meet an artworks selection of the exhibition. The relation to video art takes a more discreet and intimate form.
