C\u2019est une confirmation que l\u2019existence humaine est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation et \u00e0 l\u2019innovation, et que la r\u00e9sistance n\u2019est pas seulement dans la d\u00e9molition. C\u2019est la capacit\u00e9 de reconstruire non seulement les b\u00e2timents, mais aussi la m\u00e9moire, l\u2019identit\u00e9 et l\u2019espoir. Cette pi\u00e8ce est un appel pour que le public r\u00e9fl\u00e9chisse au cycle continu de d\u00e9molition et de construction, et \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont la d\u00e9termination humaine &#8211; si elle est bien enracin\u00e9e dans la terre et l&rsquo;histoire &#8211; trouvera toujours un moyen d&rsquo;extraire son existence du n\u00e9ant. C\u2019est une confirmation que la vie se poursuivrait et que la maison ou les aspects spirituels et existentiels de celle-ci ne peuvent pas \u00eatre d\u00e9molis de mani\u00e8re d\u00e9cisive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>What construction highlights, whether it is just a renovation of ruins, or a reconstruction of a demolished part, is the existential response to the continuous demolition in the case of Palestine. It is a confirmation that human existence is associated to creation and innovation, and that the resistance is not only in enduring the demolition. It is the ability to reconstruct not only buildings, but also the memory, the identity and the hope. This piece is a call for the audience to reflect upon the continuous cycle of demolition and construction, and on how the human determination &#8211; if well rooted in land and History \u2013 will always finds a way to extract its existence from the nothingness. Using subtle, subversive and visual storytelling, his work seeks to convey an experience of the overwhelming nature of occupation through zooming in on the tiny details that we all, as humans, share. Ramzi began his professional career as an actor in the Palestinian National Theatre and is co-artistic director of Quds Art Films; a collective of artists from Europe and the Middle East covering multiple disciplines including film, theatre and installation. His theatre work has been produced by the Palestinian National Theatre and the Barbican and recent film projects have had global festival releases as well as airing on BBC Arabic and Al Jazeera. Ramzi\u2019s documentary credits include: Behind the Wall, Under the Sky, Naked Dreams and Defying my Disability.
