Moving stories\\Moving Objects<\/em>, a beautiful story of a Syrian refugee from Aleppo, exiled to Algiers through the melodies of reed instruments that he makes and plays\u2026this video shows us the drama of the Syrian exodus from a different artistic angle with musical harmonies of the Ney (an oriental flute made of reeds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sofiane Zouggar<\/strong> (n\u00e9 en 1982), bas\u00e9 en France, est un artiste multim\u00e9dia dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de l’\u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts d’Alger. Son travail est le r\u00e9sultat de processus de recherche complexes nourris par un travail \u00e9troit avec des collections d’archives publiques et priv\u00e9es. Pour ses projets, qui couvrent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des ann\u00e9es, il utilise diff\u00e9rents m\u00e9diums tels que la photographie, la vid\u00e9o et le dessin. Avec cette approche multidisciplinaire, il aborde les questions relatives \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire collective, offrant des r\u00e9cits nuanc\u00e9s \u00e0 travers les lentilles de la recherche et de l\u2019art. Sofiane Zouggar<\/strong> (b.1982), based in France, is a multimedia artist who graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Algiers . His work is the result of complex research processes nurtured by close work with public and private archive collections. For his projects, which usually span across years, he uses different mediums such as photography, video and drawing. With this multidisciplinary approach, he tackles issues pertaining to collective memory, offering nuanced narratives through the lenses of research and art. He has participated in several exhibitions including Dak\u2019Art 2012 Biennale in Dakar, Senegal; the World Event Young Artists in Nottingham, UK ; Picturie G\u00e9n\u00e9rale in Algiers, Algeria ; the \u00ab The MoMRtA \u00bb\u00a0 (The Museum Of Manufactured Response To Absence) at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art – MAMA in Algiers, Algeria ; The Algerian Pavilion at the Dak\u2019Art 2014 Biennale in Dakar, Senegal ;Festival National de la Photographie d\u2019Art (FESPA), La condition humaine, Algiers; the Qalandiya international Biennial in Ramallah, Palestine ; Pan-African video art festival Boda Boda Lounge, Algiers. And in June 2017 at\u00a0Museum of Contemporary Art Leipzig,\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Chinafrika,under-construction\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0And March Project exhibition Commissioned by Sharjah Foundation in October 2017.
