Le film tente de retranscrire les sentiments des personnes d\u00e9racin\u00e9es confront\u00e9es \u00e0 ces questions, puis\u00e9es dans la m\u00e9moire du r\u00e9alisateur. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une parodie de la d\u00e9sinformation et des syst\u00e8mes d\u00e9faillants, ainsi que d&rsquo;une exploration des sentiments de confusion, de solitude et d&rsquo;incertitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Exiles are asked questions concerning their life, (plans), and reasons for (their choices). The film tries to communicate the feelings of the displaced when being confronted with such questions which are drawn from the director&rsquo;s memory. N\u00e9 \u00e0 Damas, il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision et le cin\u00e9ma \u00e0 Istanbul et est actuellement chercheur \u00e0 l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie n\u00e9erlandaise du cin\u00e9ma. Ses \u0153uvres abordent diff\u00e9rentes probl\u00e9matiques li\u00e9es au d\u00e9racinement et aux notions d&rsquo;appartenance, d&rsquo;identit\u00e9 et de foyer. Son premier court m\u00e9trage, Une ann\u00e9e en exil (2020), a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en avant-premi\u00e8re au Festival international du film de Jihlava (IDFF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Malaz Usta <\/strong>is a filmmaker, a designer and a visual artist, working with film, graphics, animation, editing, and sound. He was born in Damascus. He studied TV, and Cinema in Istanbul, and he is currently a researcher at the Netherlands Film Academy. His works deal with different issues of displacement, and ideas of belonging, identity, and home.
