Une artiste porte une vingtaine de chaussettes superpos\u00e9es \u2013 peaux, strates, vestiges d&rsquo;une histoire qu&rsquo;elle tente de lib\u00e9rer. Face \u00e0 la cam\u00e9ra, elle les retire m\u00e9thodiquement. Chaque chaussette qui touche le sol fait ressurgir un nom&nbsp;: celui d&rsquo;une victime. Ces noms s&rsquo;accumulent, se chevauchent, se spatialisent en un t\u00e9moignage collectif assourdissant. \u00ab&nbsp;Le sable se souvient, la pierre se souvient, la terre se souvient&nbsp;\u00bb \u2013 ce mantra arabe ouvre le film, instaurant une cosmologie o\u00f9 la terre elle-m\u00eame est t\u00e9moin. Le rituel se d\u00e9ploie en diptyque&nbsp;: le geste de l&rsquo;artiste d&rsquo;un c\u00f4t\u00e9, la pile de chaussettes qui s&rsquo;amoncelle de l&rsquo;autre. Ralenti, respiration audible, battements de c\u0153ur. L&rsquo;intime devient politique. La cam\u00e9ra s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve et r\u00e9v\u00e8le une g\u00e9ographie inattendue. Le film interroge&nbsp;: comment le corps porte-t-il la m\u00e9moire collective&nbsp;? Comment la terre archive-t-elle ce que nous essayons d&rsquo;oublier&nbsp;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>A body charged with memories. An artist wears about twenty layered socks\u2014skins, layers, strata of history she tries to release. Facing the camera, she removes them methodically. Each sock that touches the ground triggers a name: the name of a victim. These names accumulate, overlap, spatialize into a deafening collective testimony. \u00ab\u00a0The sand remembers, the stone remembers, the earth remembers\u00a0\u00bb\u2014this Arabic mantra opens the film, establishing a cosmology where the earth itself is witness. The ritual unfolds as a diptych: the artist&rsquo;s gesture on one side, the growing pile of socks on the other. Slow motion, audible breathing, heartbeats. The intimate becomes political. The camera rises and reveals an unexpected geography. The film questions: how does the body carry collective memory? Son travail, entre performance, vid\u00e9o et cin\u00e9ma, explore le corps comme lieu de rencontre entre l&rsquo;intime et le r\u00e9el, par une \u00e9criture visuelle et sonore singuli\u00e8re. Son \u0153uvre vid\u00e9o Sous la peau de la Palestine a re\u00e7u le Prix de la Ville de Clermont-Ferrand au festival international Vid\u00e9oformes 2026, et est s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e en comp\u00e9tition officielle au festival C\u00f4t\u00e9 Court 2026, de Pantin, France, dans la cat\u00e9gorie Essai \/ Art Vid\u00e9o. Elle d\u00e9veloppe actuellement son premier long-m\u00e9trage, un essai documentaire, Salam Papa, et une installation multi-projections, R\u00e9cit Silencieux sur la ratonnade des alg\u00e9riens d&rsquo;octobre 1961 \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Zohra Hassani <\/strong>is a French-Algerian filmmaker, visual artist and performer based in Bordeaux. His work, between performance, video and cinema, explores the body as a meeting place between the intimate and the real, through a singular visual and sound writing. His video work Sous la peau de la Palestine received the Prix de la Ville de Clermont-Ferrand at the international festival Vid\u00e9oformes 2026, and is selected in official competition at the C\u00f4t\u00e9 Court 2026 festival, of Pantin, France, in the category Essay \/ Video Art.
