For the migrants, immigration offers a new environment. At the same time, however, they also leave behind an emptiness with which their families and friends back home are confronted. This tension is the starting point of the film, which is based on stories of migrants and those left behind, collected in Berlin and South Korea and reinterpreted in collaboration with writer Jeff Wood to capture the inextricable link between leaving and staying.
