C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que Sara, la s\u0153ur de Clara, a connu un moment de paix rare avant sa mort. Cent cinquante ans apr\u00e8s sa disparition, les habitants c\u00e9l\u00e8brent toujours le vieil \u00c9tat et son hymne chante la gloire d&rsquo;\u00ab un morceau de terre sem\u00e9 d&rsquo;espoir, une ent\u00e9l\u00e9chie libertaire \u00bb. Ruben et Clara tentent de s&rsquo;immerger dans sa mystique, de ressentir son r\u00e9confort et de rechercher les \u00e9chos du pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ruben introduces Clara to Couto Mixto, once an independent state of Galician and Portuguese hybrid identity. It was there where Sara, Clara\u2019s sister, had a moment of rare peace before she died. A hundred and fifty years after its extinction, the locals still celebrate the old state and its anthem sings the glory of \u201ca whole piece of land sown in hope, a libertarian entelechy\u201d. Jo\u00e3o est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en sociologie et cin\u00e9ma et a une ma\u00eetrise en d\u00e9veloppement de projets cin\u00e9matographiques, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e avec mention, \u00e0 l&rsquo;Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa (ESTC), pour le film \u00ab\u00a0A Noite De Santo Ant\u00f3nio\u00a0\u00bb (Vigo, Blow Up Chicago et bien d&rsquo;autres s\u00e9lections internationales). Il r\u00e9alise actuellement \u00ab\u00a0Filhos de Tuga\u00a0\u00bb, une s\u00e9rie documentaire tourn\u00e9e en Afrique, sur les enfants que les militaires portugais ont laiss\u00e9s derri\u00e8re eux pendant la guerre coloniale. Cette coproduction hispano-portugaise \u00ab\u00a0Couto Mixto\u00a0\u00bb est \u00e9galement son septi\u00e8me film. Il est \u00e9galement critique de cin\u00e9ma, formateur certifi\u00e9 sur divers sujets cin\u00e9matographiques et fondateur et directeur de Cinalfama International. Festival du Film, une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence culturelle ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 Lisbonne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Jo\u00e3o Gomes<\/strong>&lsquo;s first feature film \u00ab\u00a0Nat\u00e1lia, A Diva Tragic\u00f3mica\u00a0\u00bb (2011) is a documentary produced for RTP2 (public cultural tv channel), where all his films were shown (namely \u00ab\u00a0Est\u00f3rias\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0Tio Carlos 1942-1969\u00bb). Jo\u00e3o has a degree in Sociology and Cinema and a Master&rsquo;s degree in Cinematographic Project Development, completed with honors, at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa (ESTC), for the film \u00ab\u00a0A Noite De Santo Ant\u00f3nio\u00a0\u00bb (Vigo, Blow Up Chicago and many others international selections). He is currently directing \u00ab\u00a0Filhos de Tuga\u00a0\u00bb, a documentary series shot in Africa, about the children that the Portuguese military left behind in the Colonial War. This Portuguese-Spanish co-production \u00ab\u00a0Couto Mixto\u00a0\u00bb is his seventh film.
