A major economic crisis affects the cryptocurrency market, tens of thousands of people are cryogenized waiting for a better future. Are they suspended or falling into the void? Son travail s&rsquo;articule autour de recherches interdisciplinaires, de films-essais, d&rsquo;installations vid\u00e9o et de performances sur les nouveaux modes de subjectivation sp\u00e9cifiquement produits par le capitalisme num\u00e9rique computationnel. Elle examine, d&rsquo;un point de vue f\u00e9ministe et critique, les discours et les imaginaires circulant dans les communaut\u00e9s virtuelles comme autant de fictions symptomatiques d&rsquo;un \u00e9tat du monde. Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 la Berlinale, au DOK Leipzig, au Cin\u00e9ma du R\u00e9el, \u00e0 IndieLisboa, \u00e0 la Transmediale et au Salon de Montrouge, entre autres. Son film \u00ab\u00a0La M\u00e9canique des fluides\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 aux C\u00e9sar 2024 et a remport\u00e9 le Prix de l&rsquo;\u0152uvre Exp\u00e9rimentale 2023 de la Scam (France), parmi une douzaine de prix. Elle est doctorante \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Paris 8, o\u00f9 elle d\u00e9veloppe un projet de recherche-cr\u00e9ation sur la capture d&rsquo;\u00e9cran et o\u00f9 elle enseigne depuis trois ans. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 professeure associ\u00e9e (ATER) \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Gustave Eiffel et chercheuse invit\u00e9e \u00e0 la Filmuniversit\u00e4t Konrad Wolf de Babelsberg (Allemagne) gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une bourse de recherche du DAAD. En 2023-2024, elle est artiste en r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie de France en Espagne \u2013 Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez. Elle codirige le collectif de recherche et de cr\u00e9ation After Social Networks (www.after-social-networks.com). Elle anime r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des ateliers et des conf\u00e9rences-performances, notamment \u00e0 la Filmuniversit\u00e4t Konrad Wolf, aux Beaux-Arts de Marseille, \u00e0 la Photographers Gallery ou au Festival du film de Locarno. www.galahernandez.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Gala Hern\u00e1ndez L\u00f3pez<\/strong> is an artist-researcher and filmmaker. Her work articulates interdisciplinary research with the production of essay films, video installations and performances on the new modes of subjectivation specifically produced by computational digital capitalism. She examines from a feminist and critical lens the discourses and imaginaries circulating in virtual communities as symptomatic fictions of a state of the world. Her work has been shown at Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Cin\u00e9ma du R\u00e9el, IndieLisboa, Transmediale and the Salon de Montrouge, among others. Her film \u201cThe Mechanics of fluids\u201d was selected for the C\u00e9sar awards 2024 and won the Experimental Work Award 2023 of la Scam (France), among a dozen awards. She is a PhD candidate at the University Paris 8, where she is developing a research-creation project on screen capture and where she has taught for 3 years. She has been an Associate Professor (ATER) at the University Gustave Eiffel and a visiting researcher at the Filmuniversit\u00e4t Babelsberg Konrad Wolf (Germany) thanks to a DAAD research grant. In 2023-2024, she is an artist in residence at the French Academy in Spain \u2013 Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez. She co-directs the research and creation collective After Social Networks (www.after-social-networks.com).
