Quand je les ai rencontr\u00e9es, certaines la connaissaient, d\u2019autres l\u2019ont apprise. Celles qui la savaient m\u2019ont dit qu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui on ne chante presque plus, les paroles se perdent. Chacune dans un coin de vall\u00e9e, leurs voix se rassemblent et deviennent un ch\u0153ur. Ensemble elles font vivre encore le symbole des r\u00e9voltes f\u00e9ministes des ouvri\u00e8res agricoles. La lega<\/em> fait partie d’une s\u00e9rie en cours de vid\u00e9os de chants r\u00e9volutionnaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 7 women sing a cappella La lega, an Italian protest song by the mondines at the end of the 19th century. The rice-pickers of the Po plain formed leagues alongside the workers, singing of their revolt against the bosses and their demand for freedom. When I met them, some knew it, others had learned it. The ones who knew it told me that these days people hardly sing it anymore, the words will be lost. Each in their own corner of the valley, their voices come together to form a choir. Together, they keep alive the symbol of the feminist revolts of farm workers. <\/em>La lega is part of an ongoing series of videos of revolutionary songs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexiane Trapp<\/strong> (*1997, Paris) est une artiste dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e des Beaux-arts de Bordeaux en 2021 puis du master de Cr\u00e9ation Litt\u00e9raire du Havre en 2023. Le texte est au centre du travail d\u2019Alexiane Trapp. Elle d\u00e9ploie oralement ou \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9crit des narrations compos\u00e9es de r\u00e9cits crois\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de souvenirs personnels, de mythes, de figures litt\u00e9raires ou de personnages de la culture populaire pour questionner la m\u00e9moire et la transmission dans des formes fragment\u00e9es. Les histoires s\u2019activent par sa pr\u00e9sence physique, orale ou gr\u00e2ce aux objets qui lui permettent d\u2019interagir avec le public. Ses recherches se tournent vers les mani\u00e8res de voir ou d\u2019entendre un texte en interrogeant les dispositifs de lecture ou d\u2019\u00e9coute. Elle fait partie du collectif (feu) qui rassemble quatre auteurices, \u00e9diteurices et photographes. Depuis 2021, l’artiste active ses performances qui associent textes et c\u00e9ramiques ou broderies dans diff\u00e9rents lieux d’art en France dont les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers (2021), le Mus\u00e9e de la c\u00e9ramique de Rouen, le G\u00e9n\u00e9rateur \u00e0 Gentilly (2022), le LaM \u00e0 Villeuneuve-d’Ascq (2022), le Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Rouen (2023), et la biblioth\u00e8que Niemeyer au Havre (2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexiane Trapp<\/strong> (*1997, Paris) is an artist who graduated from the Beaux-arts de Bordeaux in 2021 and then from the Master of Literary Creation in Le Havre in 2023. Text is at the center of Alexiane Trapp’s work. She deploys narratives, orally or in writing, composed of intersecting stories based on personal memories, myths, literary figures or characters from popular culture to question memory and transmission in fragmented forms. The stories are activated by her physical presence, orally or thanks to objects that allow her to interact with the public. Her research focuses on the ways of seeing or hearing a text by questioning reading or listening devices. She is part of the collective (feu) which brings together four authors, editors and photographers. Since 2021, the artist has been activating his performances which combine texts and ceramics or embroidery in various art venues in France including the Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers (2021), the Rouen Ceramics Museum, the G\u00e9n\u00e9rateur in Gentilly (2022), the LaM in Villeuneuve-d’Ascq (2022), the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts (2023), and the Niemeyer library in Le Havre (2023).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
