L&rsquo;\u0153uvre vise \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter cet animal de ferme comme l&rsquo;\u00e9gal de l&rsquo;homme, m\u00eame si la situation et la perspective sont centr\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;homme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In this speechless video, a dinner is laid on the table. Arriving guests are creatures that are typically found on the plate. The work aims to present this farm animal as an equal to humans, even though the situation, and the perspective, is human-centred.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paulalehtonen.net\/paula_lehtonen\/pics_works\/Kanat\/Kunniavieraat_teoskuva2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Paula Lehtonen<\/strong> : Je suis une artiste m\u00e9diatique et j&rsquo;utilise la vid\u00e9o comme outil d&rsquo;observation. J&rsquo;essaie de repr\u00e9senter et de comprendre les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes naturels et leur relation avec l&rsquo;homme \u00e0 travers mes vid\u00e9os. La technologie me permet d\u2019observer, d\u2019\u00e9tudier et de regarder de plus pr\u00e8s d\u2019autres animaux et cr\u00e9atures de mon environnement. Ma tentative de simuler la fa\u00e7on dont nous vivons la nature \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;outils techniques avanc\u00e9s, de vid\u00e9os, d&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique et d&rsquo;animations informatiques illustre la contradiction entre le d\u00e9sir de nature primordiale et la vie dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 technologique. En plus d&rsquo;exposer mon travail dans des mus\u00e9es et des galeries, je me suis produit au sein du collectif Vixen VJ et en tant que vid\u00e9aste dans des th\u00e9\u00e2tres et dans le domaine de la danse contemporaine.Je suis dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 du programme d&rsquo;arts visuels des sciences appliqu\u00e9es de Tampere (BA en beaux-arts) en 2008 et de l&rsquo;\u00e9cole d&rsquo;art et de design de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Aalto, laboratoire des m\u00e9dias (Master of Arts) en 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Paula Lehtonen<\/strong> : I am a media artist, and I use video as a tool for observation. I try to depict and understand natural phenomena and their relationship to man through my videos. Technology allows me to observe, study and take a closer look at other animals and creatures in my surroundings. My attempt to simulate how we experience nature using advanced technical tools, videos, electronics and computer animations illustrates the contradiction between the longing for primordial nature and living in a technological society.
