Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tenu et tortur\u00e9 pendant presque 2 ans, il a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la mort et a fui \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tranger. Avoir ses papiers et l\u2019autorisation de travailler n\u2019a pas pour autant signifi\u00e9 que la vie est devenue plus facile. En Gr\u00e8ce il y a connu et a \u00e9t\u00e9 t\u00e9moin de l&rsquo;exploitation, de la pauvret\u00e9, du racisme, de la violence et de l\u2019injustice. Enfin, environ apr\u00e8s sept ann\u00e9es de vie en Gr\u00e8ce, le service d\u2019asile grec a subitement r\u00e9voqu\u00e9 son asile. Mais l&rsquo;espoir est sa devise. Les expressions artistiques de Barret sont diverses. Elles prennent la forme d&rsquo;installations, de projections et utilisent diff\u00e9rents supports tels que des vid\u00e9os, des photographies, des sons, des mouvements, des objets, des peintures et des monotypes. T. D. Barret is a self-taught visual artist who calls herself transnational. Identity, migration, otherness, freedom, ugliness and disappearance are his favorite subjects. Drawing on her own experiences as a filter, she seeks to understand these concepts in diverse environments and communities. Barret&rsquo;s artistic expressions are diverse. They take the form of installations, projections and use different media such as videos, photographs, sounds, movements, objects, paintings and monotypes. Politically engaged, Barret&rsquo;s multidisciplinary practice has recently responded to the uncertainties of the Anthropocene era and the challenges posed by the pandemic. His works have been presented in numerous international exhibitions and art festivals.
