Le long de cette fronti\u00e8re o\u00f9 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur s&rsquo;ouvre sur l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur, une multitude d&rsquo;instants de la vie quotidienne se superposent et se r\u00e9pondent, formant une fresque chor\u00e9graphique de gestes simples.<\/p>\n<p>Inside<em> unrolls a mosaic of windows, those of the building the artist regularly filmed from his own window. Puis, avec l&rsquo;aide du Conseil R\u00e9gional des Pays de la Loire, il r\u00e9alise un deuxi\u00e8me court m\u00e9trage en 2000. La d\u00e9mocratisation des outils de cr\u00e9ation vid\u00e9o va alors l&rsquo;amener \u00e0 s&rsquo;affranchir progressivement des modes traditionnels de production et de narration, son langage prenant alors le chemin d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation formelle, notamment autour de la th\u00e9matique du temps et de sa repr\u00e9sentation. Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 son travail personnel, il a mont\u00e9 les films de l&rsquo;artiste Camille Henrot entre 2007 et 2017, dont <em>Grosse Fatigue<\/em> qui a remport\u00e9 un Lion d&rsquo;argent \u00e0 la Mostra de Venise 2013. Il cr\u00e9e \u00e9galement des sc\u00e9nographies vid\u00e9o depuis 2012, principalement pour des op\u00e9ras.<\/p>\n<p><em>After studying cinema at the University of Saint-Denis (France), Yann Chapotel directed his first experimental short film shot in India with a super 8 camera. Then, with the help of the Pays de la Loire Regional Council, he directs a second short film in 2000. The democratization of video creation tools will then lead him to gradually free himself from traditional modes of production and narration, his language then taking the path of formal experimentation, in particular around the theme of time and its representation. Along with his personal work, he edited films by artist Camille Henrot between 2007 and 2017, including <\/em>Grosse Fatigue<em> which won a Silver Lion at the 2013 Venice Film Festival.
