A great lady of dubbing lends her voice to the gestures of an artist who is deaf. <\/span><\/em>Poup\u00e9es gigognes<\/span> d’argiles<\/span> is a poem about transmission and sisterhood. Mothers and daughters merge, powerful and vulnerable, like the earth.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Matte<\/strong> est une po\u00e8te et artiste multidisciplinaire qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise. D\u00e9tentrice d’une ma\u00eetrise en arts visuels, elle compl\u00e8te \u00e9galement un doctorat en litt\u00e9rature, arts de la sc\u00e8ne et de l’\u00e9cran \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Laval. Les th\u00e8mes centraux de ses recherches sont les notions de voix, de rencontres ainsi que de po\u00e9sies exp\u00e9rimentales. Po\u00e8te et artiste multidisciplinaire (peintre, estampi\u00e8re, performeuse), la d\u00e9marche artistique de H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Matte allie l’oralit\u00e9 \u00e0 la vid\u00e9o, l’\u00e9criture au dessin ainsi que la cr\u00e9ation \u00e0 l’action. On dit que \u00ab ses dessins sont anthropologiques et touchants [et que] ses textes sont \u00e9mouvants et teint\u00e9s d’humour \u00bb. On retrouve \u00e9galement sa po\u00e9sie sous forme d’enregistrements de vid\u00e9opo\u00e9sie et de performances.<\/p>\n

H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Matte is a poet and multidisciplinary artist from Quebec. Holder of a master’s degree in visual arts, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Matte is also completing a doctorate in literature, performing and screen arts at Laval University. The central themes of his research are the notions of voice, encounters and experimental poetry. Poet and multidisciplinary artist (painter, printmaker, performer), H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Matte’s artistic approach combines orality with video, writing with drawing and creation with action. It is said that \u00ab\u00a0his drawings are anthropological and touching [and that] his texts are moving and tinged with humour\u00a0\u00bb.
