\u00ab\u00a0Border Run\u00a0: A Journey\u00a0\u00bb est un projet de performance multim\u00e9dia profond\u00e9ment personnel et introspectif enracin\u00e9 dans mes exp\u00e9riences en tant qu’enseignant expatri\u00e9 vivant et travaillant dans l’ombre de la l\u00e9galit\u00e9. Ce travail explore les th\u00e8mes complexes et multiformes des fronti\u00e8res, de l’identit\u00e9 et de la recherche de sens dans le contexte de divisions arbitraires. Dans ce projet, je m’efforce de d\u00e9m\u00ealer le symbolisme et la signification derri\u00e8re les fronti\u00e8res et les lignes imaginaires construites pour nous s\u00e9parer. Elle questionne la l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 de ces fronti\u00e8res et leur impact sur les individus et les communaut\u00e9s. \u00c0 travers mon parcours, je vise \u00e0 explorer les complexit\u00e9s profondes inh\u00e9rentes \u00e0 l’exp\u00e9rience de la course \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re sans porter de jugement. En entreprenant ce voyage, j’ai d\u00e9couvert que les seuls symboles tangibles de ces divisions \u00e9taient de petits kiosques et points de contr\u00f4le le long de la route et les tampons qui ornaient mon passeport. Cela m’a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 contempler la cr\u00e9ation de lois, tra\u00e7ant des lignes sur la terre, et comment les humains se conforment et r\u00e9sistent simultan\u00e9ment \u00e0 ces limitations impos\u00e9es. Pour moi, ce voyage a \u00e9t\u00e9 une rupture avec l’environnement structur\u00e9 de l’\u00e9cole, une sortie sur le terrain avec une profonde tournure. Cela signifiait \u00eatre un professeur d’art, une pr\u00e9sence ind\u00e9sirable dans certains espaces et lutter contre l’incertitude d’une vie instable. Le projet vise \u00e0 explorer et \u00e0 r\u00e9v\u00e9ler des fragments de cette exp\u00e9rience, en utilisant une combinaison de langage po\u00e9tique et d’\u00e9l\u00e9ments documentaires pour en transmettre l’essence.<\/p>\n

This work delves into the intricate and multifaceted themes of borders, identity, and the search for meaning within the context of arbitrary divisions.\u00a0In this project, I endeavor to unravel the symbolism and significance behind the borders and imaginary lines constructed to separate us. It questions these boundaries’ legitimacy and their impact on individuals and communities. Through my journey, I aim to explore the profound complexities inherent in the border run experience without passing judgment.\u00a0As I embarked on this journey, I discovered that the only tangible symbols of these divisions were small kiosks and checkpoints along the road and the stamps that adorned my passport. It led me to contemplate the creation of laws, drawing lines on the land, and how humans simultaneously conform to and resist these imposed limitations.\u00a0For me, this journey was a break from the structured environment of the school, a field trip with a profound twist. It meant being an art teacher, an unwelcome presence in certain spaces, and grappling with the uncertainty of an unstable life.
