Cette situation est celle d&rsquo;une migration contest\u00e9e et d&rsquo;une application des fronti\u00e8res \u00e0 la fois personnelle et politique. Oskar se tient pr\u00e8s de sa propre tombe, composant des vers \u00e0 rimes irr\u00e9guli\u00e8res et jouant du tambour, tandis que le montage alterne entre les images d&rsquo;une Europe miniature et les conflits cr\u00e9\u00e9s par les fronti\u00e8res. Les trag\u00e9dies nationalistes du pass\u00e9 sont rythmiquement mises en parall\u00e8le avec celles d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui.<\/p>\n<p><em>In <\/em>Doggerel<em>, which takes its name from a middle english term used to describe comic, badly written verse,\u00a0 the conditions in Europe during the first half of the twentieth century, as seen through Oskar\u2019s eyes are linked with the current situation in the early twenty-first century. This being one of contested migration and border enforcement both personal and political. Oskar stands by his own grave, composing irregular rhyming verse and playing his drum, as the edit cuts between images of a Miniature Europe and the conflicts that borders create. La forme et le contenu de cette installation r\u00e9animent des vestiges d&rsquo;Oskar Matzerath, le protagoniste du roman de Gunter Grass Die Blechtrommel (Le tambour d&rsquo;\u00e9tain). Dans ce roman, Oskar, qui poss\u00e8de \u00e0 la fois des qualit\u00e9s humaines et divines, d\u00e9cide \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de trois ans de ne plus grandir. Muni de son tambour en fer-blanc, Oscar observe et proteste contre les tabous politiques, religieux et sexuels pendant l&rsquo;occupation nazie de Gdansk. Both the form and content of this installation re- animate vestiges of Oskar Matzerath, the protagonist from Gunter Grass\u2019s novel Die Blechtrommel (The Tin Drum). In the novel, Oskar, possesses both human and divine qualities, deciding at the age of three not to grow any further. Equipped with his tin drum, Oscar observes and protests political, religious and sexual taboos during the Nazi occupation of Gdansk.
