Founded in Annecy in 1993, imagespassages works in the field of contemporary art through the moving image, with exhibitions and screenings of video and digital works by internationally renowned and emerging artists.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Cruzar un Muro (Crossing a Wall)\u00a0is a film, inspired in the 13th Article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in which affirm that\u00a0 \u201cEveryone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country\u201d.\u00a0In this film, a waiting room, a public office of immigration matters, located in \u00ab\u00a0somewhere\u00a0\u00bb, is the scenario that converges all the human aspirations of our time\u2026 The waiting, the conviction, the longing, and the right of everyone to dream, to travel, to cross, to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state or to the right of return to their country of origin\u2026 All this is represented metaphorically in this scenario of fiction and reality.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ram\u00edrez appr\u00e9cie les histoires dans les histoires, les fictions \u00e0 cheval sur les pays et les \u00e9poques, les mirages entre r\u00eave et r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Cet artiste chilien, qui vit et travaille entre le Chili et la France, utilise souvent l’image et le son pour construire une profusion d’intrigues et occuper l’\u00e9quilibre entre le po\u00e9tique et le politique. Ses mondes imaginaires sont attach\u00e9s \u00e0 un \u00e9l\u00e9ment obsessionnel : sa r\u00e9flexion part de la mer, espace de m\u00e9moire en perp\u00e9tuel mouvement, espace de projections narratives o\u00f9 le destin du Chili croise les grands r\u00e9cits de voyage, de conqu\u00eate et de flux migratoires. Enrique Ram\u00edrez’s work combines video, photography, installations and poetic narratives. Ram\u00edrez appreciates stories within stories, fictions straddling countries and epochs, the mirages between dream and reality. This Chilean artist, who lives and works between Chile and France, often uses image and sound to construct a profusion of intrigues and to occupy the equilibrium between the poetic and the political. His imaginary worlds are attached to one obsessional element\u2014his thinking starts with the sea, a space for memory in perpetual movement, a space for narrative projections where the fate of Chile intersects with grand narratives of voyage, conquest and migratory flows.
