Parce que j&rsquo;aime regarder la peinture s\u00e9cher. J&rsquo;aime aussi regarder l&rsquo;herbe pousser, les gouttes de pluie s&rsquo;\u00e9vaporer du trottoir, la lune se cambrer plus haut dans le ciel nocturne et la mar\u00e9e remonter le long du rivage.\u00a0Je suis fascin\u00e9 (et parfois envo\u00fbt\u00e9) par ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00ab lents \u00bb car ils contribuent \u00e0 m&rsquo;\u00e9loigner du monde hyper tr\u00e9pidant des activit\u00e9s humaines. Ils me donnent l&rsquo;espace temporel pour me d\u00e9tendre et contempler le monde sous un angle diff\u00e9rent.\u00a0Je crois que nous devrions tous chercher de nouvelles perspectives sur la vie, le mouvement, l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 et les \u00e9v\u00e9nements, en particulier celles qui nous \u00e9loignent du monde multit\u00e2che press\u00e9-press\u00e9-press\u00e9 de la vie quotidienne invent\u00e9 par l&rsquo;homme. Because I enjoy watching paint dry. I also enjoy watching grass grow, raindrops evaporating off the pavement, the moon arching higher into the night sky, and the tide creeping up the shoreline.\u00a0I am fascinated (and sometimes spellbound) by these \u201cslow\u201d events because they help draw me away from the hyper-hectic world of human activities. They give me the temporal space to relax and contemplate the world from a different perspective.\u00a0I believe that we should all seek new perspectives on life, motion, activity, and events\u2014especially ones that remove us from the hurry-hurry-hurry multitask world of everyday man-made life. Over the decades, the cameras may have changed, but my passion for tinkering with moving images hasn&rsquo;t. I love it. And I intend to keep doing it.\u00a0My videos have been regularly screened in film festivals around the world. And, yes, I&rsquo;ve won a few awards along the way.
