Between memory, dream and nightmare, between human skin and digital technology, looking for an image and a sound to express wishes, affections, fears, anguish, strength, fragility and hope. A process where pleasure resides in the search in itself.

Ursula San Cristóbal (Santiago du Chili, 1987) est une artiste interdisciplinaire et chercheuse basée à Barcelone. Son travail se consacre principalement à l’art performance et à l’art vidéo, qu’elle conçoit comme des outils d’exploration de la subjectivité contemporaine, abordant des questions telles que le genre, l’identité, la fragilité, l’érotisme, l’intimité et l’affection. Elle a été artiste invitée à Videoformes 2023 (Clermont-Ferrand, France) et artiste en résidence à Fabra i Coats (Barcelone) et Nau Estruch (Sabadell, Espagne). Son travail d’art vidéo a été projeté dans des festivals tels que la Biennale d’art vidéo et d’animation de Puebla (Mexique), le Festival Les Instants Vidéo (France), le Camagüey International Video Art Festival (Cuba), Every Woman Biennial Film Festival (USA), BIDEODROMO International Experimental Film and Video Festival (Espagne), Mostra Viva Del Meditarrani de Valencia (Espagne), Miami New Media Festival (États-Unis), Videoformes (France), Traverse Vidéo (France), FILE Electronic Language International Festival (Brésil), Barcelona Visual Sound (Espagne), Video Art Miden (Grèce), 19th Media Art Biennale WRO 2021 (Pologne) et Asolo Film Festival (Italie)

Ursula San Cristóbal (Santiago of Chile, 1987) is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in Barcelona. Her work is devoted mainly to performance art and video art, which she conceives as tools for exploring contemporary subjectivity, addressing issues such as as gender, identity, fragility, eroticism, intimacy and affection. She has been a guest artist at Videoformes 2023 (Clermont-Ferrand, France), and an artist in residence at both Fabra i Coats (Barcelona) and Nau Estruch (Sabadell, Spain).
