Festival Les Instants Vidéo is an event dedicated to all the forms of video art and electronic poetry (screening, installations, performances). It explores, as one explores a city, different ways of presenting the works, and in the continuity of Fluxus, endeavours to avoid the “entre-soi” by mingling the worlds (social, health, education, integration…). The festival takes place in Marseille, the South Region and abroad.

What motivates us is to create encounters initiated “by” and “around” the images. In the words of Marie José Mondzain, who develops the idea that in order to see together we must speak: “Learning to see is then nothing more than learning to speak…”. Our working material is video art. The language of video art helps us to question the place and role of the image in our societies. It is also a laboratory for examining the state of our world. What happens when you combine little things in life with video art? 

Let us listen to the echoes of the world transmitted by the artists, let us listen to their cries as well as their silences.
