21st Festival "Les Instants Vidéo Numériques et poétiques"
"Man is walking earth"

with a second congress of the specta(c)tors, video artists, multimedia artists, poets, musicians, art-workers of the vineyard and the arena, writers of passionate surges, creators of dionysian situations,
non aligned (on the market criteria and the cultural monologue) that will take place in Marseille between November, 6th to 11th.
International screenings, installations, concerts, performances, round tables, wonderment, emotions, thoughts...
The entrance is free.

From October to December, we will be crossing, by order of entrance, West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Caracas, Paris, Beyrouth, Nice, Marseille, Port de Bouc, Buenos Aires, Montreal, Martigues, Strasbourg.
All together, these places are taking part to the constellation of delicious complicities.

The program will be available to download by the end of september.

Saturday, July 12th, 8.00 pm : invited by the Al-Ma'mal Foundation, international video art programm on the theme "the walk" and during the Jerusalem Show. "It is quite confounding to be literally inside the city walls, in physical contact withits shrines and monuments, yet not able to liberate ourselves from our purgatory: neither able to be part of our natural extensions into the West Bank and Gaza; nor desire to comprehend and be content with our hopeless situation, the remorseless occupation, and the unlawful annexation to Israël. Hence the pun on the "Show" format". "The Jerusalem Show presents works, performances, and interventions thoughout the Old City as unique actions that promote a re-reading of the city in a creatively open, accessible, and interactive manner."

Between march and July, invited by Lieux Fictifs, Marc Mercier will lead "the workshop of the spectator" in the prison Les Baumettes. Video works selected from the videotheque of Les Instants video will be proposed to 8 trainees, who will have to make a selection of 2 or 3 films that will be presented during the 21st festival Les Instants video. The students will defend their choices through a video that will also be presented. This workshop belong to a larger project intitled "Exercice of memory II"
