Note de contenu : Igor Kuduz, like Bogojevic-Narath, uses small-scale models in his Perpetuum Mobile (1992) to show destruction. The camera drifts across the artificial landscape, looking down at burnt out buildings impassionately. The model is detailed but at the same time makes no attempt to convince you that it is reality. The film has a peacefulness to it and we fail to be disturbed by the destruction amongst the garishly green, painted countryside. The film is not so much about war but how we perceive it and the distance between us as observers and the real emotions it involves. Elle décrit un paysage intérieur, espace mental composé de tons de gris et d’horizons insondables qui virevoltent, caressent, tournoient, invitant à l’exploration des limites de la nature intérieure et de ses utopies, à la recherche d‘un espace d’illumination : « Ici, jamais seul ». Cette vidéo a été produite à l’occasion de Secret Gardens, projet conçu par le Centre d’art Limelight pour l’événement Anno’02. De nombreux artistes ont alors été appelés à créer un jardin secret dans différents endroits de la ville de Kortrijk. Note de contenu : Portal unfolds a space where you can drop your guard: a rhythmical, geometrical landscape, a soothing place made from sloping shapes and whispering sounds. 
Anouk de Clercq depicts an ‘interior landscape’, a mental space built of cool shades of grey and fathomless horizons, rotating, tilting and caressing. An exploration of the limits of the utopian and the inner nature, in a longing for a place of enlightenment: “here never alone”. 
The video was made on the occasion of secret gardens, a concept of centre for the arts limelight and cultural manifestation anno’02, for which several artists had been assigned to design a secret garden at various locations in the city of kortrijk.
