Cette projection, qui fait partie d’un poème de Richard Brautigan, a servi d’impulsion au film : le monde animal y rencontre un univers virtuel, auquel il finit par se fondre en une seule matière indissociable. Les images réelles sont déformées en visions futuristes. Les cris d’animaux s’apparentent à des sons électroniques. La voix du poète nous accompagne dans cette nature synthétisée, produit d’un rêve éveillé en pays cybernétique. Note de contenu : Imagine a cybernetic ecology, where mammals and computers become inseparable, "live side by side in perfect harmony". This projection, part of a poem by Richard Brautigan, served as an impulsion to the film: the animal world encounters a virtual universe, into which it ends up melting into an indistinguishable, unique matter. Real images are deformed into futurist visions. Animal cries marry into electronic sounds. The poets voice accompanies us in this synthesised nature, produced by a waking dream in an electronic country. Note de contenu : In this videographical proposition De Bemels continues his exploration of the physical and the visual limitations of movement, dance and the human body. Central focus is on a static composite torso; it seems to blend in with the rhythmically invigorating limbs of dancer Ugo Dehaes, eyes closed, his head twisting like that of a puppet. Il s'agit offers an illusory and complex metaphor, relating the human body to machine-like patterns and shapes. In a cybernetic 'ballet mécanique' of fluttering, wriggling arm gestures the organism seems to develop and multiply itself, and then reassemble for a short but peaceful moment.'
