| | Index. décimale : | 040 Vidéo | | Résumé : | Matilde a enregistré dans ce projet, duquel nous ne montrons qu’une des vidéos, une réflexion à partir de son regard d’artiste qui emploie une procédure symbolique pour embellir et styliser cette réalité conflictuelle et cruelle que nous avons subie durant la dernière crise de l’Argentine, depuis 1999 jusqu’au point culminant du conflit en 2001 et jusqu’à nos jours. « Piqueteros », « cartoneros », des gens qui créent leur propre moyen de subsistance de façon précaire mais plein d’illusions, en récupérant et recyclant des déchets...
| | Note de contenu : | Compilation of a project by Marin (b. Argentina, 1948) that started in 2002 beginning in Buenos Aires and then various countries in Latin America and was concluded in March and April of 2005. It was part of government of Argentina's program "Becas Abiertas" (Open Scholarships). The artist includes 3 series using different formats to artistically express her awareness of the social conditions in an autobiography : "La Recolección" (The Recollection) photo-performances and video-performances where the common denominator are the artist's hands, "La Ilusión, el dia de Karina" (The Illusion, Karina's day) an almost documentary video about a female street vendor, and "La Necesidad" (Necessity) is an ensemble of color images of homeless and their precarious recollecting carts. Includes texts by Adriana Lauria, teresa Macri and Justo Pastor Mellado. Matilde Marin has incorporated photography and video into her work since 1999. She has worked and lived in Caracas, Venezuela, Zurich, Seitzerland, and the United States.
